MISUP

Strengthening Communities and Empowering Migrants Across Europe

The MISUP project is committed to creating lasting impact and fostering stronger connections across Europe. Our objective is to build sustainable communities by strengthening local migrant support organizations (MSOs), which are essential in supporting migrants to engage meaningfully in their new societies.

Through MISUP, we aim to provide essential organizational development training and networking opportunities to MSO leaders. Additionally, we will deliver empowerment training to MSO staff to ensure they have the skills to effectively support migrants in their integration process.
Here’s how the program works:

  • MSO leaders will be trained in organizational development using our Pillars of Strengthening (PoS) methodology, designed to enhance the capacity of their organizations.
  • MSO staff will receive training in empowerment techniques through our Pillars of Power (PoP) methodology, adapted to maximize resources and training efficiency.
  • Migrants in the Netherlands, Greece, Spain, Italy, and Lithuania will participate in empowerment sessions, gaining valuable skills and building the confidence needed to integrate into society.

Implementing the Project

To ensure that MISUP is effective and efficient, we will develop and deploy the PoS and PoP methodologies across Europe. This includes providing easy-to-use tools on e-learning platforms in six languages and conducting webinars and multiplier events in five countries.

Sustaining the Impact

Our consortium partners are fully committed to integrating PoS and PoP into their existing adult education programs, ensuring that these methodologies will be available to any local organization working with migrants. Moreover, MISUP will continue to build synergies and expand its network across the European Union, further amplifying its reach and impact.

At its core, MISUP is about supporting MSOs in their efforts to empower migrants, strengthen communities, and contribute to a more inclusive and interconnected Europe.
