RES-MOVE
Empowering Migrants Through Collaborative Spaces
RES-MOVE is a project dedicated to exploring the potential of coworking and other collaborative spaces as key drivers for the inclusion of migrant communities. The growing trend of “collaborative spaces” — which includes coworking spaces, fab-labs, maker spaces, public libraries, and even coffee shops — is emerging as a powerful tool for supporting the labor inclusion of qualified migrants.
The project targets four main groups of migrants:
Freelancers, Migrants with craft skills, Entrepreneurs (Start-ups) and Knowledge workers (researchers, teachers, trainers, cultural mediators, editors, translators, etc.)
Our goal is to transform collaborative spaces into thriving hubs of migrant inclusion across Europe. Here’s what we’re working towards:
- Model Spaces: At least one collaborative space in each of the 11 territories across 10 countries will serve as a leading example of migrant inclusion.
- Innovative Job Pathways: We aim to create job inclusion pathways for at least 1,100 migrants, with a focus on 50% women, through these collaborative spaces.
- Sustainable Model: We will provide the coworking movement and local stakeholders (including authorities) with an operational model based on research, highlighting successes and challenges. This will help replicate and scale successful practices.
Additionally, we will establish a Transnational Network of Inclusive Coworking Spaces to ensure the sustainability of these efforts and provide tools that can be used to adapt other private and public spaces for inclusivity.
RES-MOVE is not just about providing a workspace—it’s about building sustainable, inclusive communities where migrants can thrive.
